What's my Atmakaraka?

In Jaimini astrology, the planet at the highest degree in your chart is your Atmakaraka (AK) — the “soul significator,” read as the carrier of your central life-lesson. This tool finds your AK and all eight chara karakas, decoded as soul-themes to grow through — never a verdict, never good or bad.

How chara karakas work

The seven (or eight, including Rahu) chara karakas are assigned by ranking the planets by their degrees within their signs. The highest is the Atmakaraka (soul); the rest fill the roles of mind/career (AmK), siblings (BK), mother (MK), father (PiK), children (PK), obstacles (GK) and spouse (DK).
